Most days I’ve been coming into Howard Gardens, and each day I see Hermit Desk Woman…

You look over, half expecting an acknowledging smile, a glance even, just a moment of eye contact to check you’re in fact a legitimate human. But she doesn’t, not even a look out of general curiosity! Yet she remains unfazed, focussed still on her computer screen. Yes, it does make me wonder what it is she might be looking at, what it is that she passes the day doing on there. Probably Minesweeper.
